As a Senior UX/UI Design Lead at Microsoft, I worked on a cutting edge Unilever project to unlock the value of pilot plant processing data, through greater integration, analysis and data-visualisation. This would benefit pilot plant employees and the business as a whole.

Through user observations and collaboration with SMEs, our team produced astonishing prototypes: 1) With the Capture App, Plant Operators could now follow procedures, log data, and record observations (text, voice, photo, video). 2) Using the Playback App Process Engineers viewed these human observations and real-time vs comparative data streams. 3) Plant Managers could proactively configure and maintain rigs more effectively using the Dashboard App.

The prototypes were a huge success and proved that all data from initial configuration tests to final stabilisation results could be available for any team member. Knowledge could be easily transferred to colleagues working in full-scale plants globally. The end result will be to increase product speed to market.
